Roadmap

Velvet is built with the artists and promoters who use it. This is what has shipped recently, what we're building now, and where we're headed — updated as things land, not as they're promised.

Live

Live on Velvet today.

  • Email sign-in codes

Sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email — no Google account needed, and it works inside the Instagram and TikTok in-app browsers.

  • Tour Co-op

Plan a tour, find partner artists on the same route, split shared costs with the built-in calculator, and keep every show’s checklist and files in one place.

  • Messaging and show group chats

Direct messages, a group chat for every show you’re part of, and message requests so strangers can’t flood your inbox.

  • Lineup building

Invite a whole lineup at once, set slot lengths and set counts, and reach artists who aren’t on Velvet yet by email.

  • Artist press kits and media

A shareable EPK on every artist profile, with Spotify and YouTube playing right on the page.

  • Audience stats with freshness dates

Show promoters your monthly listeners and follower counts, stamped with when you last updated them.

  • Browse artists by genre and location

Filter the artist directory down to the sound and the city you’re booking for.

  • Notifications and the weekly digest

A notification bell for the things that need you, and a weekly email round-up of what’s new on Velvet.

In the works

Building

What we're actively building next.

  • Gig Guide

A public guide to upcoming live music, built on the venue and event data behind Velvet.

  • Artist availability calendar

Mark the dates you can play so promoters can book around your real availability.

  • Discover shows and venues by category

Discovery that covers shows and venues, not just artists.

  • Event worksheet with a shareable link

A single page for a show’s run sheet you can hand to anyone — venue staff, sound engineers, the whole lineup.

On the horizon

Planned

On the list, order still being decided.

  • Reviews and ratings

Work with people who show up: reviews after a show, for artists and promoters both.

  • Per-show logistics

Parking, load-in, soundcheck times and green room details attached to every show.

  • Tour book and itinerary

Everything about a tour — travel, stays, set times — in one place you can take on the road.

  • Contracts and digital signing

Agree terms and sign without leaving Velvet.

  • Smart matching

Recommendations that pair artists with the right shows.

  • Dispute resolution

A clear way to raise and resolve an issue when a booking goes wrong.
